Bio

Sara Thomas, MEd, LMSW is a PhD student in the Rutgers School of Social Work. She earned her Master of Education in School Counseling from Texas Christian University and her Master of Social Work from New York University. Before starting her doctoral program, Sara taught elementary education and served as a high school counselor in Texas, where she provided socio-emotional and academic support, facilitated crisis interventions, and advocated for equitable educational practices, particularly for underserved student populations.
