Bio

Taylor M. Scott, LSW (she/her) is a PhD student in the School of Social Work at Rutgers University. She has previously worked as a research coordinator on projects concerning diagnostic safety in medicine at Baylor College of Medicine and the Houston VA and more recently worked on clinical trials concerning the treatment of opioid use disorder at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.  She has also conducted research on human-animal interactions. Taylor completed her clinical internship work at the Montrose Center, an LGBTQ+ counseling center in Houston, TX. She is a licensed social worker in the state of New Jersey. Her current research interests focus on substance use in aging populations, particularly related to issues with social support and social isolation. For the 2025-2026 school year, she is completing her graduate assistantship with Dr. Jamey Lister.
